I am originally from Middleton, Manchester. The family moved to St. Anne’s when I was 19 and I have lived in lovely St. Anne’s ever since.
The first 9 years of my working life were spent in the tourist industry helping to run the family hotel. I then went into teaching where I taught all ages and abilities including people with special needs.
I have been involved with St. Anne’s Carnival for over 30 years, the last 10 as its chairman raising money for local good causes.
I am also involved with the Guiding Movement, completing over 30 years of service in Lytham St. Anne’s with all age units, presently as a Brownie and Rainbow Guider. I also served for 13 years as a District Commissioner.
I joined the Town Council at its last elections in 2007 and was also elected to Fylde Borough Council serving St. Leonard’s Ward.
