I became a Town Councillor in July 2018, representing Park Ward where I live. I’m originally from Merseyside and moved to St Annes-on-the-Sea 10 years ago.
I’m a Trustee of Blackpool Boys & Girls Club, which was originally founded in 1935. Whilst open to all, these days the Club deal with many disadvantaged young people from Blackpool.
I’m a surveyor specialising in commercial property and have been for 36 years since graduating. I’ve worked both in the public sector, for central and local government, and in the private sector for a an insurance company then for 12 years with a national property company before starting my own practice in 2000. I now run a small specialist practice based in St Annes. I’ve dealt with a wide range of commercial property throughout the north west for many years now often working in partnership with local authorities on regeneration schemes so I have a wide range of relevant experience.
I hope to work towards improving the local environment, including the parks and other green spaces as well as supporting business growth where I’m particularly interested in assisting where I can to try and ensure a vibrant and successful town centre so I hope to become more involved with St Annes Enterprise Partnership (STEP).
