I love living in St. Anne’s with its parks, promenade, gardens and of course the beach.” “In summer the skies above St. Anne’s seafront will be awash with colour as our fabulous International Kite Festival takes place. With the Carnival, Music and Arts Festival, Victorian Weekend, the Christmas Lights Switch On, award winning “In Bloom” displays, Neighbourhood Plan, Ashton Gardens Centenary St. Anne’s has a big year ahead.” “Since my election to the Town Council, 6 years ago it has been a pleasure to represent St Anne’s on Sea and becoming Town Mayor in May, is the icing on the cake. The role enables me to speak and act in multiple capacities as ambassador, facilitator, promotor and encourager. Currently I am serving as Deputy Mayor to Cllr Vince Settle, with whom I enjoy working, so I am a time-served apprentice in every sense.” “In my mayoral year I intend to raise funds for the RNLI – my husband Paul is the Station Officer of HM Coastguard, so I know first-hand the vital role these volunteers play in keeping our shores safe. I will be holding a wide variety of fund-raising events, from the inevitable coffee mornings to dinner dances and I do hope these will be well supported by the people of St. Anne’s.” Current Town Mayor, Councillor Vince Settle, hands over the Mayoral chain at the Town Council meeting on 24th May 2016, at St. Anne’s Palace, 18 Garden Street, St. Anne’s .
