In the middle of July St. Anne’s on the Sea Town Council was awarded funding by Fylde Council from the COVID Government Support Grant. The Town Council also assigned additional funding to the event.
The funding was passed to the Town Council Community and Neighbourhood working group (CAN), including Councillors Joanne Gardner, Karen Harrison (Chairman) and Cheryl Little, for delivery of the September Spectacular in Ashton Gardens.
It would not have been possible to deliver a five-day event without the support and engagement of the following.:
Dorothy Aitken of St. Anne’s Carnival – For voluntary help in organising stalls and fairground rides.
Jayne Love of Mystical Wellbeing and her team of volunteers – For organising the little tent of calm activities.
One Fylde, Just Good Friends, In Bloom, Shepherd Road Allotments, Tony Ford (Town Trail walks), Infinity Vocal Workshop and HIVE Arts for fully embracing the community engagement of the event.
All the stall holders, food outlets and participants for sticking with us.
The volunteers who came forward, helped in security and litter picking.
The stage performers High-Jinx, Fylde Ukulele Network, Noches De Salsa, The Trinitas Day Choir, Across the Boards, Steve Canavan, Lytham St Annes Shanty Crew, Rialto Duo, The Quarantinos, Feral Roots, Mike Taylor, Old Rope, Gemma Hart, Stephanie Lea, Zumba Suzy and team, Cartoon Food, Emily Adams, Whistletest, Rupert Fabulous, Ziggy Spider’s 1970’s Matinee Show and Counterparts.
Our contractors at Intent City, the Little Stage company, Event Management & Training (First Aid) and Smiths Hire.
Fylde Council officers and Parks Staff for allowing us to use Ashton Gardens, providing chairs and help in promoting the event and tidying up afterwards.
Town Council staff (Darrel, John and Kevin) for working to such a tight schedule and managing the additional workload.
Town Councillors – Onsite throughout the event handing out leaflets, providing security and litter picking.
And last but not least, Denby the dog for entertaining children and adults alike with his ball skills throughout the five days!
WE THANK YOU ALL.
