Summer has arrived, and so have the showers, no need to panic though as St. Anne’s on the Sea and Fylde present a packed schedule of events for the season.
The St. Anne’s Carnival & Fun Day leads the way on the 9th and 10th of July. This year’s theme is ‘A Celebration of Gardens’.
On the 29th, 30th and 31st of July you can look forward to some music and arts across St. Anne’s. Setting the scene nicely for the weekend International Kite Festival, including The world’s largest teddy bear kite, the world’s largest kite, the 7 strong Al-Farsi Kuwait Flying Team and much, much more. That’s not all, on the Saturday, pop down to Shepherd Road Allotments for their Annual Open day, purchase some veg but beware the scarecrows!
August brings a brand spanking new event to St. Anne’s in the shape of the International Food Fayre. Running from Thursday 4th through to Sunday 21st August. Cooking demonstrations, food discounts and music are all planned.
On August 8th come to Ashton Gardens and celebrate its 100th Birthday with live music, folk dancing, crown green bowling and much more.
If the sun is out, then of course, you could simply have a summer at a traditional summer seaside: sand, games on the pier, miniature train ride, donkeys, promenade gardens, ice cream, crazy (and not so crazy) golf, coastal walks and your friends / family (to share those memories with). Come and enjoy St. Anne’s on the Sea, Jewel of the Fylde.
